EGCO GROUP RECEIVES RENEWAL PERMISSION ON THE “CAC” CERTIFICATE FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

EGCO Group received a certificate certifying the renewal of membership in the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC) for the second consecutive year. This reflects the solid anti-corruption policy throughout the company. On this occasion, Khanom Power Plant in EGCO Group also received a certificate certifying the renewal of CAC membership continuously for the first time.

EGCO Group was certified as a member of CAC for the first time in 2015, and the certificate is valid for three years. The first renewal was in 2019, and the second is this time. EGCO Group also encourages its subsidiary companies to become a CAC member. At present, there are three companies of EGCO certified as members of CAC, namely, EGCO Group, EGCO Engineering and Services Co., Ltd (ESCO), which was approved for the first time in 2016, and Khanom Power Plant, which was certified the first time in 2018.

CAC was established in 2010 to encourage the private sector to recognize the importance of transparent business conduct, which can voluntarily solve corruption problems through corrective action. Currently, 1,245 companies have expressed their intention to support CAC. Among these, 491 companies have been certified to have clear anti-corruption policies and procedures.
