EGCO Group prioritizes ecosystem and biodiversity conservation across all operational areas. The company therefore announced its Biodiversity and Forested Resource Conservation Commitments as fundamental operating principles for all commercially operated power plants and new projects, as well as its direct and indirect suppliers in the supply chain. This aims to ensure that all biodiversity-related practices across the organization align with the commitments announced in the environmental management policy. Key stakeholders’ recommendations are addressed through the stakeholder participation process. The application of mitigation hierarchy shall also be applied including avoidance, reduction, restoration/regeneration, offset, and transform.

In addition, EGCO Group is also operates in accordance with international best practices with reference to the area and other requirements as outlined by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and UNESCO World Heritage areas.
