The company announced its biodiversity commitment as a guideline for basic operating principles in power plants with commercial operations, new operations, and both direct and indirect suppliers in EGCO Group’s supply chain. This ensures that there is a consistent approach to biodiversity operations throughout the organization which is aligned with the commitment as indicated in the environmental management policy, as well as a process for receiving suggestions from key stakeholders.

The application of mitigation hierarchy is also applied to avoid, minimize, restore, and offset any negative impacts on the ecosystem and biodiversity. In addition, EGCO Group is also operates in accordance with international best practices with reference to the area and other requirements as outlined by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and UNESCO World Heritage areas.
