Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group has been listed 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices under the Emerging Market in the Electric Utility sector for a 5th consecutive year. This award reflecting the business operation according to Sustainability development and creating value to the Energy transformation era, together with driving towards low-carbon society.

Khanom Power Plant in EGCO Group received a certificate of renewal of membership of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC) for the second consecutive time at the CAC Certification Ceremony 2/2567.

EGCO Group received a score of 5 stars or “Excellent” from the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2024 (CGR 2024) for the 16th consecutive year in the resource industry group with a market capitalization of more than 10 billion baht, with an average score of 103 points, higher than the average score of all listed companies of 84 points, reinforcing investors’ confidence in being a leading listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

EGCO Group received the first runner-up award in the Gender-Inclusive Workplace category from the UN Women 2024 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards hosted by WeEmpowerAsia.

The United Nations Women's Organization (UN Women) program joins the European Union (EU) to recognize good practice organizations based on the principles of empowering women and promoting gender equality in business.

President, Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, together with EGCO Group’s top management received the prestigious “Green Financing Deal of the Year” from The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards 2024. This recognition applauds EGCO Group’s successful inaugural Green Debentures issuance of THB 7 billion issued in November 2023, a move that reinforces the Company’s commitment to advancing its sustainability objectives. The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards are organized by The Asset Magazine. The award presentation ceremony was held in Singapore on 9 July 2024.

Khanom Learning Center within EGCO Group received the “ASA Conservation Award 2024 - Category A: Conservation of Architectural Heritage and Community at Distinction level” granted by the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA). The award recognizes EGCO Group’s success in turning its floating power plant into a learning center about the history of power generation in southern Thailand as well as its ability to creatively design and develop the site to become a place for the general public, especially young people and communities, to learn about energy, electricity generation process, and harmonious living among power plants, communities, and the environment.

Khanom Power Plant in the EGCO Group, represented by Mr. Rachen Bunyaphiphat, Power Plant Manager, received a certificate of permission to use the “Carbon Footprint Certification Mark” in the categories of “Carbon Footprint of Product” (CFP) and “Carbon Footprint of Organization” (CFO) from the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), reflecting the organization’s commitment to carbon footprint operations and carbon offsetting with social responsibility, commitment to managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating sustainable growth towards a low-carbon society.

This certificate was presented to 32 certified organizations in fiscal year 2024 to honor environmentally friendly organizations that care about global warming and jointly create sustainable growth.

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group was granted the “Human Rights Awards 2023”, large business organization category, good level, for the second consecutive year from the Department of Rights and Liberties Protection under the Ministry of Justice. The company highlighted its commitment to human rights by introducing a more comprehensive policy to promote a non-discrimination environment and anti-harassment in the workplace. Ms. Salil Tirawat, EGCO Group’s Executive Vice President – Corporate Management, represented the company to receive the award from Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, at the Human Rights Awards 2023 announcement ceremony held recently by the Department of Rights and Liberties Protection, the Ministry of Justice, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
