The achievement reiterates EGCO Group’s transparency in disclosure of sustainability information in all aspects – economy, environment, society, and corporate governance, which is in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Ms. Kulkanok Leongsoithong, EGCO Group’s SVP-Corporate Secretary,represented the company in receiving the award fromMs. Veraya Preeyapan, Director of the Sustainability Disclosure Community (SDC) of Thaipat Institute,at the award presentation ceremony held at Bangkok Art and Culture Center.

EGCO Group listed on DJSI for 4th year in a row, commitment to sustainability and Net Zero 2050 goal is strongly confirmed

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group was selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2023 in the Emerging Markets Index – Electric Utilities for the 4^th consecutive year. The world-class recognition has confirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable development and to achieving the Net Zero goal by 2050.

EGCO Group rated “AA” in SET ESG Ratings and “5-Star Excellent” in CGR assessment

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group achieved two national sustainability ratings assessed and supported by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) – “AA” level in the SET ESG Ratings 2023 and “Excellent” or 5-star level in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2023 (CGR 2023) assessment.

EGCO Group was also rated “Excellent” or 5-star level in the CGR 2023 assessment arranged by the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) and supported by SET.

Khanom Learning Center receives “Kinnaree” Award 2023 Certificate – Learning Tourist Destination from TAT

Khanom Learning Center within EGCO Group was granted a certificate from the “Thailand Tourism” Award 2023, known as the “Kinnaree” Award, in the Tourist Learning Destination category presented by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The achievement highlights Khanom Learning Center’s strength and potential as a travel destination and a learning center in the South of Thailand that uses advanced technologies to provide information on electricity generation, energy, and environmental preservation. The learning center itself is friendly to communities and the environment and has been efficiently operated under high sustainable management standards.

EGCO Group has been assigned a company rating of “AA+” rating outlook by TRIS rating for the second consecutive year. The rating reflects EGCO Group’s competitiveness as a leading electricity producer investing in large and diverse power plant projects. This is coupled with the stable cash flow from long-term power purchase agreements.

EGCO Group achieved a CGR score of “Excellence” and received the ASEAN CG Scorecard

EGCO Group’s commitment to international-standard good governance practice has been emphasized once again as the Company won 2 corporate governance (CG) awards in 2022. The Company has continually achieved a CGR score of “Excellent” level of recognition in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies (CGR) and received the ASEAN CG Scorecard – ASEAN Asset Class PLCs at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.

EGCO Group was listed in “Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) 2022” for 8 years in a row in the Resources category from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Khanom Power Plant received the Outstanding of “The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2022”

Khanom Power Plant, a subsidiary of EGCO Group, received the Outstanding Industry Award of “The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2022”, under the social and responsibility category, providing supportive and sustainable coexistence with the community. The Ministry of Industry organized the award to reinforce the intention of the Khanom power plant, which is committed “to be a role model of power plant for environmental protection and sustainable coexisting with the community”.

EGCO Group led a waste management project within “EGCO Ecosystem” to receive the “Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2022” (AREA2022) for the second consecutive year in the category of Green Leader. The award is organized by the Enterprise Asia Institute, a non-governmental organization that supports entrepreneurial, socially and environmentally responsible companies in Asia. This reflects regional acceptance of business operations according to sustainable development guidelines with an emphasis on a low-carbon society.
