EGCO Group welcomes shareholders at NED solar farm in Lopburi to reiterate transparency and good governance

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group recently brought a group of shareholders to visit its NED solar farm in Khok Samrong District, Lopburi, as part of the 2024 shareholders’ site visit program. Welcoming the shareholders are Mr. Kittipob Lerdtakhu, Plat Manager of Natural Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Mr. Somporn Kerdduaythong, EGCO Group’s SVP-Investor Relations. During the visit, the company answered the shareholders’ inquiries and shared with them the information about NED solar farm management and operations as well as its role in supporting the transition of Thailand’s energy industry. The shareholders also visited the “GreeNEDucation” learning center within the solar farm, which provides knowledge about renewable energy and solar cell’s electricity generation processes through interactive media. EGCO Group’s shareholders site visit program emphasizes the company’s commitment to good governance and transparent disclosure of information, which strengthens public confidence towards the company and promoted good relations between the company and its shareholders.

EGCO Group holds 66.66% stakes in NED which operates and manages two solar farms – Lopburi Solar with 55 MW installed capacity and Wang Plerng Solar with 8 MW installed capacity, totaling 63 MW installed capacity. Both power plants use thin-film solar cell technology. Having over 520,000 thin-film solar panels, the projects, which cover over 1,400 rai area, are among the world’s largest thin-film solar farms. The two plants started distributing electricity to the grid in 2011 and 2013 respectively. In addition, NED is one of the important renewable power plants that will enable EGCO Group to achieve its goal to increase renewable power generation capacity to 30% by 2030 to create a sustainable low carbon society.
