Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group joins with Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) to sign an online Memorandum of Understanding for online game development cooperation. “EGCO Thai Rak Pa Youth Camp” creates learning tools for conserving watershed forests in the New Normal Era to continue the mission of raising awareness of nature conservation among youth.
Mr. Theparat Theppitak, President of EGCO Group, revealed that EGCO Group believes in “good origins lead to good outcomes” and attaches great importance to conserving natural resources, especially the watershed forest. To realize the awareness of natural resources and environmental conservation for achieving sustainability must begin with the youth. This will be an important force in the future. In the past, EGCO Group and the Thai Rak Pa Foundation, a charitable organization founded and supported by the EGCO Group to conserve and restore natural resources and watershed forests, participated in the project "EGCO Thai Rak Pa Youth Camp" continuously since 1997 until the present.
However, due to the epidemic situation of COVID-19 coupled with the change of era learning style and youth participation behavior, EGCO Group, therefore, has an idea to develop a model for organizing youth camps to suit the current situation. By collaborating with the College of Creative Design and Entertainment Technology (ANT), Dhurakij Pundit University develops online games as a learning tool through interpreting nature in learning about the conservation of watershed forests.
