Occupational Health and Safety 2025
Enhancement of Occupational Health and Safety Practices
EGCO Group strengthened occupational health & safety (OHS) practices as e-Safety Observation Program was introduced, and Root Cause Analysis and Why Tree Investigation workshops were conducted to enhance hazard recognition and incident investigation capabilities.
These initiatives were implemented for power plants under EGCO Group, including:
- Khanom Power Plant (KEGCO)
- Banpong Utilities Power Plant (BPU)
- Klongluang Utilities Power Plant (KLU)
- EGCO Cogeneration Power Plant (EGCO Cogen)
- EGCO Engineering & Service (ESCO)
- Theppana Wind Farm (TWF)
- Chaiyaphum Wind Farm (CWF)
- SPP2, SPP3, SPP4, SPP5
- G-Power Source (GPS)
- Solarco Power Plant (SLC)
This initiative strengthened workforce engagement in fostering a safety culture and enhanced EGCO Group’s capability to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risks through consistent reporting, competency development, and continuous safety performance monitoring.
Benefits of the Project

Annual Occupational Health and Safety Training Plan
EGCO Group implemented the annual Occupational Health and Safety training plan to strengthen employee capability in responding to emergency situations.
The training programs included work-related disease awareness (Occupational disease) and Basic Life Support (BLS), covering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and choking response techniques.
More than 100 employees participated in the training, gaining enhanced knowledge of work-related diseases, developing practical first-aid skills, and improving their readiness to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
Benefits of the Project
- Improve employee preparedness for medical emergency response.
- Raise awareness and understanding of work-related diseases.
Implementation Approach
- Organize training on work-related disease awareness and Basic Life Support.

Building a Proactive Safety Culture Across EGCO Group's International Joint Venture Power Operations Programs for Power Plants
In 2025, EGCO Group implemented Occupational Health and Safety programs across joint ventures and power plants in the Philippines and the Republic of Korea to strengthen workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
Training activities at San Buenaventura Power Ltd. Co. (SBPL) included chlorine safety, permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined space safety, fire and medical emergency drills, and drug-free workplace seminars. Paju Energy Services Company Limited (Paju) conducted emergency response drills, fire suppression training, process safety management training, and hazardous chemical spill response exercises. Additional activities included safety orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections, alcohol testing, and health awareness sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors. The programs were implemented through classroom training, practical exercises, drills, and regular monitoring activities to support ISO 45001:2018 compliance and reinforce a proactive safety culture across operations.
